Wisconsin football started off the season with a solid win over Western Kentucky to end the month of August and head into September 1-0.

The Wisconsin Badgers have already endured enough adversity in the early stages of the 2018 season than they should all season.

First off, the team lost two of their top wide receivers in Quintez Cephus and Danny Davis as they deal with off-the-field issues. Then, one of their more experienced cornerbacks in Dontye Carriere-Williams announced he would be transferring out of the program to explore opportunities elsewhere- leaving the defensive secondary thinner than the team has seen in years.

Looking ahead at the month of September, the Badgers will have a rather light non-conference slate before starting a brutal Big Ten slate. Wisconsin will take on New Mexico and a tricky BYU team before heading to Iowa City to take on the rival Iowa Hawkeyes.

College football can be a crazy world, and each month new storylines and unexpected happenings occur all over the sport. As the Badgers begin the month sort of off-the-radar in terms of prestigious games, here are five possible and unsuspecting things that could happen surrounding the team.
