Notre Dame Football: Irish still on Cloud 9 after big win over Michigan

Notre Dame football scored a big win over Michigan in week 1 of the college football season. Is it too early for the Irish to book their Playoff trip?

Notre Dame and Michigan came into Week 1 with aspirations for a shot at the College Football Playoff. The Irish seemed to be in control for most of the game. The Wolverines were only able to mount a scoring drive in the final minutes and in the end couldn’t slow down the talented Irish quarterback Brandon Wimbush.

Before we head into the Week 2 slate of games, it’s important to understand that if you are a Notre Dame fan you believe you still will win the national championship. If you are a Fighting Irish hater you are simply a few poor passes away from reveling in a friends misery (because we ALL know someone who is a Notre Dame fan).
