Khalid Kareem: Next Lombardi Winner?

Khalid Kareem put up an excellent game against the Michigan offense. He registered nine tackles, two sacks, and added in one more quarterback hurry for good measure.

He made the Wolverines offensive line look like the scout team, as he set up camp in the backfield all game long. The thing that stood out to me for Kareem was that he did not get phased by the bright lights in his first start. He looked like a player that belonged and should be a problem for every quarterback facing him for the rest of the season.

Helping him stay in Patterson’s kitchen was Jerry Tillery. The senior also picked up a sack and if he can call for a few double times this season Khalid could be looking at a potential double-digit sack season.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he picked up a handful more in the next couple of games for the Fighting Irish.
