Ole Miss football wowed with plenty of offensive firepower in a dominant win over Texas Tech. Which players earned their first Blitz Stickers of the season?

The Ole Miss Rebels kicked off week one in a huge was with a 20-point blowout over the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Ole Miss dominated the first quarter with a 24-7 lead over the Red Raiders. The Rebels managed to score three touchdowns from three different rebels, including a 94-yard kickoff return from Jaylon Jones for six.

They followed up a dominant first quarter with a six-point second quarter. The Red Raiders bounced back a bit with a field goal and a touchdown from Alan Bowman to Ja’Deion High.

The third quarter was rather similar to the second as the Red Raiders outscored the Rebels 10-7. Scottie Phillips was the highlight of the third quarter when he broke off a 65-yard rush and went untouched for a score.

Ole Miss quarterback kicked off the fourth quarter with a 34-yard pass in stride to AJ Brown who fought off two defenders to score with 14:30 left in the game. They would go on to win the game 47-27 to open up the season 1-0.

Jordan Ta’Amu had a solid outing as the week one starter for the rebels while his favorite target and Biletnikoff Award watch list member AJ Brown went for 93 yards and a touchdown. The talk around The Grove in Mississippi is Junior College transfer Scottie Phillips who tore up the Red Raiders defense with 204 yards on 16 carries and two scores.

With Week 1 almost in the books, let’s hand out some Blitz Stickers.
