Pac-12 Football: USC, Stanford atop Week 1 power rankings

Week 1 of the Pac-12 football season is officially in the books, with the league posting an overall record of 8-4. One of those losses, though, was by Washington in a Top-10 battle with Auburn, putting a serious damper on the weekend.

USC, Stanford and Oregon all had little to no trouble with opponents UNLV, San Diego State and Bowling Green, while Washington State, California, Colorado, Utah and Arizona State added victories.

Along with the Huskies, Arizona, UCLA and Oregon State all suffered losses.

Week 2 will present itself with a huge early-season conference battle, as the Top-2 teams in our latest power rankings square off when the Trojans pay a visit to the Cardinal.

Also, the Sun Devils get a prime-time shot at pulling a “Pac-12 After Dark” upset when they welcome Michigan State. The Bruins face a tough rebound as they travel to Oklahoma, with the Buffaloes rekindling an old Big Eight rivalry at Nebraska.
