Dwayne Haskins is better than Trace McSorley

Haskins played like a veteran in the season opener. He picked apart the Oregon State secondary for five touchdowns and looked like the best player in the country at times. His final stat line was 22-30 for 313 yards with five touchdowns and one interception.

If Haskins plays this well he will clearly be in contention for the Heisman Trophy, and the showdown against Penn State will not only have Big Ten title implications, but a potential spot in the college football playoff may be on the line.

McSorley played very well in the Nittany Lions win over Appalachian State, pulling out a dramatic fourth-quarter drive to force the game into overtime.

The two have similar styles and McSorley will have the upper hand being in his system for a longer period, but Haskins will continue to make plays and improve as the season progresses. Another big game should be in store for him against Rutgers.
