TCU Football: 3 bold predictions vs. SMU in Week 2

TCU football looks to improve to 2-0 Friday against SMU. The Mustangs look to bounce back from Weeek 1 loss to North Texas. It’s time to be bold.

TCU had no problem dispatching Southern on Saturday, defeating the Jaguars 55-7. The Horned Frogs jumped out to a 48-7 lead in first half and then put it on cruise control. New quarterback Shawn Robinson accounted for five touchdowns in the win.

On the other hand, SMU is coming off 46-23 loss to another metroplex team in North Texas. All of the Mustangs’ points came in fourth quarter as North Texas jumped out to 36-0 lead.

TCU should have another easy win on their hands as SMU is making transition to Sonny Dykes after the departure of Chad Morris to Arkansas.

However, TCU must be careful not to overlook SMU and ahead to its Week 3 matchup with Ohio State. The Mustangs will be looking to upset TCU and get bragging rights and to swing momentum for the rest of the season.

The Horned Frogs have an 87.6 percent probability of winning this game according to ESPN FPI. TCU has to travel to Dallas but with the close proximity of these two teams expect to see plenty of purple in the stands.

With the game against Ohio State on the horizon, TCU needs to put the Mustangs away early and don’t allow them to get confidence and make this a game late. I fully expect TCU to win easily, but here are some bold predictions of what that win may look like.
