2. JJ Arcega-Whiteside will have 200 yards again

One of the most surprising performances of Week 1 came from Arcega-Whiteside. After grabbing nine touchdowns last season he has already produced a third of that output in one game. He hauled in six catches for 226 yards to go along with the three scores. Arcega-Whiteside is long and athletic, and the USC secondary will not have an answer for him in one on one matchups.

Stanford likes to run the ball when they get into the red zone so expecting Love to get the carries and run it in for a score is the predictable notion. I strongly believe that when they get in the red zone Coach Shaw will use Arcega-Whiteside to win jump ball situations in the end zone.

It wouldn’t be a major surprise if he ended up with a 10-catch performance as he is clearly the go-to receiver in the offense.

Expect him to have a tremendous game and keep his name in contention for the Heisman Trophy in the early part of the season.
