The No. 2 ranked Clemson Tigers are heading to Aggieland to take on Texas A&M Football and Jimbo Fisher. Here are three bold predictions for the matchup.
Texas A&M is hosting the Clemson Tigers, looking for what would be the home upset of the century for the Aggies. There would be no game close to that title, seeing as the Aggies upset of Alabama in 2012 was in Tuscaloosa. Everyone is talking about how Jimbo Fisher has changed the Aggies and how Clemson is poised to make yet another run to the championship.
What does this game hold for the Aggies? For the Tigers? To begin to answer that question, let’s get bold ladies and gents.
3. College GameDay made the right decision to cover this game
Many- specifically South Carolina fans- are angry that the crew is headed to College Station this weekend instead of to Columbia. While Georgia and South Carolina will surely be a game to remember- this game has more national appeal to it and therefore the decision was made to host College GameDay live from Aggieland.
This game brings with it a reunion of sorts between Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney and Aggie head coach Jimbo Fisher. Both spent quite a bit of time in the ACC. Swinney still is, obviously, but Fisher has made the move to the SEC. As a result, this game has quite a bit of hype surrounding it. These guys know each other and are ready to make this one an exciting one.
My bold prediction? By the end of the first half these two teams show that the College GameDay crew made the right decision to head to Aggieland.
