After Week 2, the College Football Playoff top-four projections shuffle slightly from Week 1. As each week passes, we learn more and more about each team.

Week 2 consisted of a handful of college football games that turned out to be much better than many expected. Nebraska hosted Colorado in Scott Frost’s debut. The game came down to the wire, where Colorado came out on top, 33-28.

Late in the night, Arizona State and No. 15 Michigan State faced off in Tempe, Arizona. At halftime, the score read: Arizona State 0, Michigan State 3. The Sun Devils rallied in the fourth quarter, scoring 13 points, and beating the Spartans 13-16.

Oklahoma, Wisconsin and Auburn are all very close to breaking into the top-four. Oklahoma beat UCLA 49-21. While the Sooners’ offense is incredibly explosive, giving up 21 points to a UCLA team that lost to Cincinnati in Week 1 leaves them outside the top-four.

Wisconsin dominated New Mexico, just as it did to Western Kentucky in Week 1. However, 14 points given up is 14 too many for the Badgers. Wisconsin may have to wait for Big Ten play to have a chance at the top-four.

Auburn has a strong win against Washington in Week 1. We will have to wait and see how good the Huskies end up being in order to determine how strong the Tigers’ win truly was.

Therefore, Ohio State makes it just barely inside the College Football Playoff top-four projection.
