1. Myles Boykin is the best player on offense

Can Fighting Irish fans really believe Myles Boykin is a breakout star? The senior has not scored in either of the first two games but is easily the best deep threat in the passing game.

He took care of business against the Cardinals secondary as he hauled in six catches for 119 yards. Boykin has been used sparingly the first two seasons in South Bend, but if Brian Kelly wants to put up points he will look to get Boykin between 10-12 target per game.

The big factor in Boykin’s ability to have an impact is the accuracy (or lack of it) at quarterback. Would the Fighting Irish be smart to put in a drop-back passer who will make the plays down the field?

If they want to use Boykin skill set that is the smartest option. Mannix McClane caught six passes for 86 yards against the Commodores last week and they could be vulnerable if Notre Dame attacks with the deep ball early.

Boykin will be able to have another great game if Wimbush is able to make accurate throws in the pocket. If he can do that then it should lead to an easy Irish victory.
