Stanford Football: 5 players who earned Blitz Stickers in USC victory

Stanford football picked up a huge win over the USC Trojans on Saturday. It was an all around team effort, but these guys stuck out from the rest.

Heading into Week 2 of the college football season, one of the top matchups was that of the USC Trojans taking on the Stanford Cardinal. And although these two teams play in separate divisions in the Pac-12, this game was pivotal to each team’s road to a conference championship. Thanks to the stingy defense of the Cardinal and balanced attack on offense, they came away with a 17-3 victory.

Many, had the Trojans as the favorites out of the Pac-12 South to play or even win the conference championship. Meanwhile, while some favored Stanford to come out of the Pac-12 North, most thought Washington would once again reign supreme. After this early season win, the Stanford Cardinal have put Washington and the rest of the Pac-12 North on full alert.

This win is a sign of things to come for Stanford, and with four games still on its schedule against teams currently ranked in the AP Top 25, this is the type of game it’ll have to play almost every weekend.
