Texas A&M football fought hard and came up just short against the Clemson Tigers on Saturday night. Who earned “Blitz Stickers” in this one?
In a game filled with quite a few missed calls and angry fans from blatantly bad calls, the Aggies came close to knocking off the No. 2 team in the nation. It came down to a missed field goal early, a controversial touchback/fumble out of bounds call and a few blown defensive coverages, but all in all Texas A&M showed that they are a force to be reckoned with under new head coach Jimbo Fisher.
I am going to be completely honest, after watching this game, I was at a loss as to who to hand these stickers out to and I mean that in the most positive way possible. The Aggies did well from the start of the game and never gave in, something that this team and this fan base hasn’t seen in quite a while.
We learned a lot about many players on this team, from offense to defense to special teams. This team did a lot of growing up on Saturday night that will be crucial to their fight down the stretch, especially at Alabama in just two weeks time.
However, right now, we are here to focus on those positive performances from Saturday night. So without further ado, let’s talk Blitz Stickers.
