The defending champions, Alabama football heads to Vaught-Hemingway to take on a struggling Ole Miss team. Here are three bold predictions for the matchup.

To say that Ole Miss is struggling a bit this season would be an understatement. While they started strong with a win over Texas Tech, a disaster of a first half against Southern Illinois almost put them at 1-1. The Land Sharks do currently sit at 2-0 as they prepare to welcome the Crimson TIde into “The Vaught.”

I will tell you this, I have yet to find an Ole Miss fan excited about this game. That, in itself, should tell you quite a bit. So, without further ado, let’s get bold shall we?

3. Ole Miss has flashes of decent defense, but it isn’t enough.

This Ole Miss team doesn’t have much to play for as they aren’t postseason eligible thanks to Hugh Freeze and the mess he created in Oxford. Now, it is Matt Luke’s team, but they are still paying for those mistakes. That fact alone has contributed to the “Land Sharks” playing with a lack of vigor- at least on the defensive side of the ball.

Jordan Ta’amu, AJ Brown and DK Metcalf have enough talent to carry the offense and at least get something done, but this defense is something else entirely. My bold prediction? We may see a flash or two of strong defense from the Rebels, but not enough to stop the Tide.
