In a game that has everyone talking, USC football is headed to Austin for yet another rematch. Here are three bold predictions for USC vs. Texas.

Sports media has made this game out to be a huge deal. The Longhorns currently sit as the favorite to take down the USC Trojans- getting revenge for the overtime loss a year ago. However, I am not convinced the game will be as exciting as they are making it out to be. It won’t be any 2005 National Championship game repeat, that much is for sure.

In Week 2, the Longhorns squeaked by Tulsa — only winning their home opener by a touchdown.

On the flip side, the No. 22 Trojans fell to No. 9 Stanford due to some late game mistakes and missed chances to emerge victorious. Slight difference in those games huh? And no,  I am not just talking about wins and losses.

Tom Herman, the head coach of the Longhorns, currently sits on the hot seat after falling to Maryland in back to back season openers. Texas hasn’t been “back” in quite awhile, no matter how much the boosters and the media want them to be.

Will this game be the start of Texas actually being “back”? Probably not, but let’s talk bold predictions anyway.
