1. Tradition holds as USC beats Texas on the road

The Trojans are 2-0 against the Longhorns when playing the game in Austin. Of course, the last time these two teams met in Austin was 1966. That was quite a while ago, but as it stands right now it is tradition for USC to win in Austin.

The Texas Longhorns have some talent on both sides of the ball, I won’t take that away from them. What they don’t have is a head coach that is ready to bring a program of this caliber back from the dead, so to speak. It has become the joke of the college football world that Texas is “back” everytime they win, just to be disappointed a week or two later.

On the other side, this USC team started the season ranked and has kept that trend- unlike our friends in Austin. While they aren’t a National Championship bound team by any stretch of the imagination, they have what it takes to push the Longhorns to a 1-2 start in 2018. When you are playing catch up to teams like the Oklahoma Sooners, that isn’t exactly a place that Texas wants to be.

Sorry Texas, but tradition dictates that a loss is coming your way on Saturday night.
