2. The Eagles will win 10 games

This one follows hand in hand with the first overreaction that Boston College can compete for the Atlantic Division title. The Eagles face a struggling Purdue next that just lost to Eastern Michigan, followed by a home game against 0-2 Temple. Boston College should easily be 5-0 when it continues its ACC slate of games against NC State.

The number one thing working against Boston College is its cross-over games. Unfortunately for the Eagles, they will face Miami (FL) and Louisville for their cross-over games. Games against Pittsburgh and UNC instead would’ve gone a long way towards the 10-win mark.

So if you assume the Eagles travel at 5-0 and include the bowl game, Boston College must find five wins from games between NC State, Louisville, Miami (FL), Virginia Tech, Clemson, Florida State, Syracuse and whomever they face in a bowl game. Definitely not the easiest schedule in the world but one that could lead to 10 wins this season.
