Washington football fell out of the spotlight after their opening week loss to Auburn, but since then the Huskies have kept grinding out wins.

There were some interesting moments in Week 3’s edition of Pac-12 After Dark, but the Washington Huskies avoided being part of the spotlight. Their unassuming win over an always-dangerous Utah team was expected, and nobody batted an eye at the final 21-7 result.

Myles Gaskin opened the scoring with a 38-yard rushing touchdown on the Huskies first possession. After that, the Washington offense did just enough. They kept Utah playing from behind and off the field, going three-and-out just twice in 13 drives.

Washington held the edge in total yards (327 to 261), first downs (30-24), and red zone conversions (2-of-3 to 1-of-3). Ultimately it was the Huskies’ defense that made the difference. Turning Utah away on downs on their final three possessions on the game.

Even without much pressure on their shoulders, Washington played at a relatively high level throughout the game. What did we learn about the Huskies in their Week 3 win?
