Syracuse looked like one of the best team’s in the ACC in their dominating win over Florida State. So why aren’t they ranked higher than Miami or Duke? The injury to Eric Dungey has us reluctant to pull the trigger on proclaiming Syracuse as a top ACC program, but their defense is tenacious. UConn comes to the Carrier Dome this week and the Orange fan base can only hope that the team doesn’t overlook any opponent going forward.

Miami went to Toledo and handled the Rockets realtively easily. They jumped out to a 21-7 lead heading into the second half and Malik Rosier turned in a good performance with two touchdown passes. Butch Davis returns with FIU in the Hurricanes’ Week 4 matchup, but Miami should take care of business in that one.

Quentin Harris got his first start for the Blue Devils against Baylor, and he made the most of it. He threw three touchdown passes in the first half, and Duke controlled the ball game from the opening whistle. The quarterback play will decide how far they can go in the hunt for an ACC title, but so far Harris is showing he could be the difference maker for this offense.
