Boston College football defeated Wake Forest 41-34 behind several big performances from its offense. How did each position group grade out?

Boston College marched into Winston-Salem and won its ACC opener against Wake Forest 41-34 on the road. The Eagles used over 500 yards of offense to outpace the Demon Deacons, riding the tough running of sophomore AJ Dillon and a near perfect game from quarterback Anthony Brown.

The Eagles looked great in blowout wins over UMass and Holy Cross but this was a major first test, taking on an undefeated and talented Wake Forest. The Eagles passed the test with flying colors on offense and defense, with significant room for improvement in the special teams department. If not for a couple ghastly special teams turnovers, the Eagles would’ve escaped Boston College with an easy win.

The Eagles defense tightened when it needed to and racked up four sacks and two interceptions. The Demon Deacons nearly converted fourth downs and red zone opportunities at will however and the Eagles defense definitely has looked more dominant than it did last night.

Here are the position grades from the Eagles’ win.
