Quarterback : A

Anthony Brown was fantastic. There is no other way to put it. The redshirt sophomore set career highs in passing yards (304) and touchdowns (five) in a game that he was nearly perfect in.

Some of his success can be attributed to the effective running of AJ Dillon, as receivers were left wide open on several plays off of play-action. Still Brown connected on touchdown passes of 27, 29, 35, 40 and 71 yards, protected the football and only took one sack. Designed quarterback runs weren’t part of the game plan and Brown responded by playing a great game from the pocket.

While the Eagles offense has been built on a strong running game for years, it has never had a dangerous passing game to back it up. If teams can’t load the box to stop the run because the passing game can connect on passes down the field, what is a defense to do? It all combines to create perhaps the most dangerous Boston College offense in nearly a decade.
