Wide Receivers/Tight Ends: A

The Eagles wide receivers didn’t need to be spectacular last night. They only needed to catch the wide-open passes that were delivered by Anthony Brown and convert them to touchdowns.

More from Boston College Eagles

Jeff Smith was the star of the night for the Eagles receiving corps, catching six passes for 145 yards and two touchdowns. His first touchdown was an athletic play as he ran full speed down the center of the field, securing a foot in bounds in the back of the end zone. His second catch came in the fourth quarter when he went in motion across the formation and Brown hit him on a streak route down the field off of play-action.

Tight End Tommy Sweeny caught five passes for 58 yards and a touchdown and six different players caught a pass. The Eagles hit on several big plays throughout the game, ending any chance Wake Forest had at winning.
