Mississippi State football had an easy game against Louisiana-Lafayette this weekend that will give them some major confidence entering SEC play.

Mississippi State had some impressive performances from nearly every position in their 56-10 win over Louisiana. They had 607 yards of total offense and limited Louisiana to 310 total yards.

What was most impressive was their rushing attack. The Bulldogs finished with 331 rushing yards and averaged seven yards per rush as a team.

Mississippi State played well across the board, but not every position group earned straight A’s. Here are grades for each of the Bulldogs’ units, starting with the special teams.

Kicker Jace Christman made all eight of his extra point attempts, and punter Tucker Day only had one punt for 43 yards the entire game. Even though the special teams units were not used extensively, they did their job and did not give Louisiana a chance to get back in the game.
