Texas A&M Football: 5 Overreactions from sloppy win over ULM
By Shelbie Warr
2. Injuries are piling up for the Aggies, and fast.
Texas A&M seems to have injuries out the wazoo so far this season. Some are out for the season, some are out for just a bit and others are still surrounded by countless question marks. It isn’t at all comforting for a team about to head into SEC play, that is for sure.
As it stands, linebackers Anthony Hines and Ikenna Okeke are out for the season. Clifford Chattman, Keldrick Carper and Michael Clemons are on the questionable list for the foreseeable future.
Kicker Daniel LaCamera had a little fracture in his foot after the first kick against Clemson, the missed field goal. The Aggies have three more games for Seth Small to kick in LaCamera’s place without burning a redshirt due to the new rules, but it may be longer than that before he is back.
Center Erik McCoy exited the game early in the fourth quarter after his knee was rolled up on. Fisher says it doesn’t seem serious, but it could be worse than he is letting on. As it stands, the injuries are stacking up. Depth is great to have, but it doesn’t mean much if everyone and their mama keeps getting hurt week in and week out.
