Arkansas Football: 3 things Razorbacks must fix before SEC play
By Shelbie Warr
Arkansas football is struggling. With losses to North Texas and Colorado State now on their resume, this team has a lot to do before SEC play.
The Razorbacks are not having a season to remember, at all. They are not at all at the level of the rest of the SEC, not even those bottom dwellers of the SEC East. Arkansas has quite a bit of growing to do before SEC play starts and for them, it starts in a big way- against the Auburn Tigers. They travel to the Plains and while the LSU Tigers showed that home field advantage may not be a big deal, it’s a completely different story for a struggling Razorback team.
As of right now, bowl eligibility seems like a far-off dream for the Razorbacks. What does Arkansas have to do to prepare this week and get ready for SEC play? Quite a bit, but I have summarized it into three points.
3. Pay full attention, on every single play.
The special teams play of the year so far, according to Sports Illustrated, is shown below. There has been quite a bit of argument as to how fair this play was. Some call it the ultimate trick play while others are calling it cheating. 247Sports is reporting that the NCAA is considering swift action to make this kind of play illegal.

Whether this play is ruled illegal or not, the Razorbacks were still basically whooped by the Mean Green of UNT. Not exactly a team that you want to lose to as an SEC West team, a conference that prides itself on being a powerhouse.
Before SEC play, before facing off against an offense run by Jarrett Stidham, the Razorbacks have to focus on fully paying attention. Yes, the trick play tricked just about everyone, but this team needs to be dialed in- every single play- if they want to compete this season.
