Georgia football recruiting is starting to heat up, in terms of the 2019 class, and here are five must-have targets remaining in this cycle.

If you’re Kirby Smart, you have to be pleased with the direction the Georgia football program is headed. The Bulldogs have been recruiting at a high level and it paid off with a national title trip in 2017, losing to Alabama in overtime.

The Bulldogs are one of the premier teams in the land and it seems as if Smart has learned the tricks of the recruiting trade from his former boss, Nick Saban.

Georgia may be the biggest threat to Alabama for the conference title as well as the national recruiting crown. The Bulldogs are staring down the No. 1 overall class in 2019, but there are still some targets left on the board.

Who could be next?

Here are the five must-have targets for Georgia in the 2019 recruiting class.

Replacing Lamont Gaillard is going to be very difficult for the Bulldogs to replace at center and Clay Webb could be ‘that guy’ who comes in and takes over at the position.

While it seems as if the five-star center is destined to be a member of the Crimson Tide, the Bulldogs are pushing to be one of the SEC teams in the mix for him. Auburn, too, is in the shuffle while Clemson is vying for his attention and it won’t be easy to come out on top of that pack, but the Bulldogs are still in it.

Webb is a 6-foot-3, 295-pound center from Alabama and the chances are high that he stays home, but even higher that he remains in the SEC.

Like many top offensive line recruits, he plays mostly tackle for his high school football team, at least according to his highlights, but his size and style has him projected as a center, and an elite one at that.
