1. Jonathan Taylor will get his share

Yes, statistically Iowa does have one of the best rushing defenses in all of college football right now and they have already seen a great running back in David Montgomery. However, Montgomery had a skeleton of an offensive lone blocking for him in that game in Kinnick Stadium. Jonathan Taylor has perhaps the best offensive line in all of college football blocking for him, which helped him get nearly 2,000 yards as a TRUE freshman.

With all that said, Taylor is probably looking at a 150+ yard rushing day against a very good Iowa defense. Those yards will not come easy however, Iowa has perhaps the second-deepest defensive line in college football behind Clemson, rotating in eight guys that can play meaningful snaps on any given down. Although, with Wisconsin, you know exactly what they’re going to do and they’re going to execute it and it is up to you to stop it, which is very hard to do with a team like the Badgers.

Taylor’s mini-resurgence following a low-end 100-yard performance against the Cougars would be big, but it wouldn’t hurt Iowa as much as many might think it would.
