Ohio State Football: Urban Meyer’s return overshadows Tulane
With Urban Meyer returned to the sideline, Ohio State football enters their Week 4 game against Tulane after a hard-fought victory over TCU.
Ohio State went into Fort Worth and came away with a hard-fought victory against TCU. A slow start by the offense had the Buckeyes facing a small deficit at half-time, but the defense was able to keep them in the game.
A third-quarter sequence led to a furious comeback by Ohio State and the Buckeyes were able to walk out of Texas with a win.
The Greenwave have struggled with luck this season, starting off 1-2. The offense has played well but had an overtime loss to Wake Forest in Week 1, and losing by a touchdown to UAB last week. This team could very well be 3-0 and have the opportunity to pull off the upset in Columbus.

Keys to Victory
In order for Ohio State to come out of the game with a victory, the Buckeyes will need to stick to the offensive game plan they have used under Ryan Day since Week 1. Dwayne Haskins has played like a Heisman Trophy candidate, and Mike Weber and JK Dobbins have each put up good individual efforts.
The Ohio State defense looked shocked at the beginning of the game against TCU, but continued to make big plays and even scored a defensive touchdown while mounting the comeback. Even if Nick Bosa misses the game there are still too many talented pass rushers that could disrupt the Tulane offense on key passing downs.
In order for Tulane off the upset, they will need to play an up-tempo style that doesn’t give Ohio State a chance to make many substitutions. Focusing on the running game will need to be their focal point. The Buckeyes haven’t been able to stop the run for most of the season so having a capable rushing attack that can get a few scores could help lead to the upset.

Prediction
Ohio State’s offense has played extremely well so far this season. The passing game has a quarterback capable of delivering the deep ball down the field, and the receivers haven’t been this clutch in a long time.
The running game is led by JK Dobbins, who seemed to be the calming force for the Buckeye offense as they tried to slow down the pace of the game against TCU.
Tulane should be able to run the ball effectively and could get over 150 yards on the ground. However, they won’t be able to do much on the defensive side of the ball to slow down Ohio State.
Expect a quick two touchdown lead by the Buckeyes in the first quarter, and Ohio State shouldn’t have any trouble cruising to an easy win.
Prediction: Ohio State wins 45-17
