There is quite the gap forming in SEC football this season and Week 4 will only widen it. Before kickoff though, let’s talk power rankings.

The SEC has some decent teams this seasons, including two or three of the best in the nation. However, they also have some of the worst. Week 3 was full of a highlights and moments that you wish you could forget.

Another last-minute win for LSU over Auburn and yet another dismantling of the Ole Miss Rebels by the Tide were among the highlights. However, I’m sure Arkansas would rather forget the entirety of the matchup against North Texas.

Now, we are really heading into SEC play. There are only two SEC teams not playing conference opponents in Week 4 and both played within the SEC last week. The LSU Tigers host Louisiana Tech, a great break after fighting tooth and nail live from the plains of Auburn, Ala.

Ole Miss hosts Kent State, hoping to put forth some kind of offense this week as they did exactly the opposite against Alabama.

There is only one ranked matchup in the SEC this week, with No. 22 Texas A&M heading to No. 1 Alabama. That fact proves the point I started this section with, the SEC has a handful of talented teams and an even bigger handful of teams that are struggling to be any kind of relevant.

All of that being said, let’s get to the power rankings before Saturday arrives.
