Miami football returns home to take on Florida International, but the Hurricanes are looking to gain some momentum heading into ACC action.

It didn’t take long for Miami to rebound after a tough loss to LSU in the opener as the Hurricanes have won two consecutive games, blowing out Savannah State and Toledo.

The win over Savannah State was impressive because of the 77 points scored after mustering only 17 against LSU. On the other hand, a road game at Toledo seemed daunting, but the Hurricanes blocked out the home crown and came away with a convincing win.

Miami has a chance to improve to 3-1 with another ‘easy’ win over FIU. The Panthers have a minor chance at an upset, especially with how well the Hurricanes have been playing over the past two weeks.

With Miami returning home to face FIU, it’s time to be bold.

3. Miami forces four turnovers

Everyone knows about Miami’s Turnover Chain. The Hurricanes are notorious for causing turnovers and making offenses sweat out each and every possession. That won’t change on Saturday as the Panthers will have a tough time holding onto the ball.

Miami’s defense has forced a total of five turnovers this season and FIU has accounted for six. Clearly all signs are pointing to the Hurricanes causing a handful of them, it just all depends on whether it’ll be via fumble or interception.

The Hurricanes have already forced four turnovers in a single game once this season against Savannah State and it’ll become twice after Saturday afternoon.

Sorry, FIU, you don’t really have a chance to gain momentum against this defense because it’ll just keep picking on you.
