1. Travis Homer finally breaks 100 yards

Just as the Florida International defense struggles with the pass, it also struggles against the run, which will work in Travis Homer’s favor.

Homer, a junior running back, nearly hit the 1,000-yard mark last season but has gotten off to a rough start in 2018. He has just 162 rushing yards on 36 carries for a 4.5 yards per carry average — 1.4 yards per carry lower than his average from last season.

DeeJay Dallas has been the talk of the town since taking over this season, rushing for 196 yards and a touchdown on 6.5 yards per carry, but this game will belong to Homer.

The Hurricanes are lucky enough to have two starting caliber running backs and they’ll combine for about 200 yards, but Homer will have a good chunk of that, nearly hitting the 150-yard mark.

Homer needs this performance to get back on track and the push from Dallas will make him an even better runner. The Hurricanes won’t have any problem moving the ball on the ground or through the air on Saturday in a big win.
