Despite a heck of a fight, at least in terms of playing Alabama, Texas A&M football fell to the Tide What did we learn about both of these teams?

This game was a dog fight for sure, even more so than the 45-23 final score shows. It was nothing like what the Tide has put up in the first three weeks of the season, but it sure did still look good for the No. 1 team in the nation.

However, it looked pretty good for the Aggies as well. This may not be “the year” for the maroon and white, but that year is coming. Both of these teams are talented and have the head coach that is going to bring them to greatness.

On that note, let’s start with takeaways.

5. Tua Tagoailoa is the Heisman front-runner and it isn’t even close

The slinger from Hawaii had yet another big time game for the Tide that led them to victory once again. He finished 22-for-30 before Jalen Hurts relieved him late in the game. With almost 300 yards in the air and four touchdowns, Tua Tagovailoa just added another strong performance on his Heisman campaign season.

It’s hard to believe Alabama is getting better, but give Nick Saban a top-tier quarterback and the Crimson Tide are the scariest team in the nation, and it’s not all that close. Could this kid be the front-runner for the Heisman as a first-year starter? It’s looking that way.

You can say whatever you want about the rest of the nation, namely Kyler Murray who seems to be the other front runner, but right now this is Tua’s award to lose. Go ahead, argue with me.
