Penn State Football: Positional report card for win over Illinois
Wide Receivers
Juwan Johnson had a nice touchdown reception to start the fourth quarter, and K.J. Hamler caught his third touchdown of the season by adjusting to the ball well on the following drive.
They only accumulated 204 total receiving yards, but the passing game was not needed when Penn State could dominate running the ball.
Tight ends Jonathan Holland and Pat Freiermuth also got involved, as Holland led the team with 53 yards and Freiermuth had one of the three touchdown receptions for Penn State. They certainly did not play poorly, but a limited passing attack gives them the lowest offensive grade for the Nittany Lions.

Miles Sanders tweeted about his appreciation for the offensive line, and they did a very good job of making holes for Sanders and Ricky Slade. Both were able to get to the second level of the defense multiple times and only had to make one guy miss to make a big play.
With only one sack allowed the entire game and 591 total yards of offense, the offensive line played very well in this game. They deserve almost as much credit as Miles Sanders for his 200-yard performance.
