Ed Oliver. 1. player. 16. . DT. Houston

After nabbing Josh Allen last year, the Bills look to shore things up on the defensive side of the ball this time with the selection of Ed Oliver.

Oliver, a junior for Houston, has done nothing but look like a future NFL superstar in three seasons with the Cougars. It’s not often that a defensive tackle draws consideration for the No. 1 overall pick, but Oliver is a special talent.

As a freshman, he recorded 22 tackles for loss and five sacks, defending away six passes with two forced fumbles. That put the 6-foot-3, 292-pounder on the radar, and he did nothing but deliver more numbers his next season.

Oliver posted 73 tackles, 16.5 for loss and 5.5 sacks last year in earning league defensive player of the year honors. The All-American is well on his way to continuing his incredible play, and would be a perfect building point for the Buffalo defense moving forward.
