It’s been an interesting season for ACC football and there’s a chance things could get even stickier in the power rankings following Week 5.

ACC football had a lot of crazy finishes during their Week 4 slate. Arguably one of the most talented teams in the country lost a shocker and a team previously at the bottom got off this winless column.

On paper, the matchups heading into Week 4 looked like they would be pretty ho-hum for the ACC. There were a few surprising results and those results caused a few changes to our set of rankings this week.

Take a look at where everyone stands in the ACC as we head into Week 5 action.

The Yellow Jackets drop to the bottom of our rankings after being dominated by Clemson in Week. They were down by 21 points at the end of the first half, and two meaningless touchdowns didn’t do much of an impact on the scoreboard. Taquon Marshall struggled all game with just 47 rushing yards on 25 carries. Next week they can right the ship by facing Bowling Green at home in what should be an easy win.

If Georgia Tech has arguably the worst defense in the conference, the Demon Deacons are right there nipping at their heels. After making a move at quarterback the Fighting Irish put up 56 points against Wake Forest. They gave up nearly 600 yards of total offense to Notre Dame and will have to make major adjustments to stay competitive in the conference. An out of conference matchup against Rice should help the team build momentum into October.

One of the biggest upsets in the conference over the weekend was the train wreck North Carolina Tar Heels defeating Pittsburgh at home. The Panthers gave up 17 points in the third quarter and lost the lead for good. Kenny Pickett had an up and down game, throwing two touchdown passes. He will have to play at his best if the Panthers are going to take down 13th-ranked UCF in Week 5.
