3. South Carolina

Speaking of ruffling feathers, what about if Bryant elected to stay in-state and signed with South Carolina, the dreaded rival of the Tigers? That would most definitely cause incredible chatter along the message boards and drama the week of the game next season.

The Gamecocks were among those who looked closely at the Piedmont, South Carolina native coming out of high school. Instead, they eventually landed Jake Bentley, who is just a junior this year.

Bentley has looked very good in running the offense under Will Muschamp, but Muschamp is a guy that appears to enjoy the prospect of competition. And there would be some intense competition by bringing in Bryant to compete with a senior.

Bentley saw action in seven games as a freshman in 2016, throwing for over 1,400 yards with nine touchdowns. He had almost 2,800 yards and 18 passing scores a year ago, and is completing a career-high 68 percent of his passes for 780 yards with six touchdowns through three games.

Maybe Bentley elects to come out early in the draft in hopes of moving up in what is being described as a weak class. That would open the door up wide for Bryant to slide in for a season at the rival school.
