UCLA football will be matched up with Colorado on the road in Week 5 with the Bruins surprisingly still searching for their first win of 2018.

Chip Kelly is still searching. His first season with UCLA has not gotten off to the ideal start, but there’s still time for the Bruins to turn things around and gain momentum heading into the 2019 campaign.

No one saw an 0-3 start coming for UCLA, especially with Cincinnati and Fresno State on the docket, but the Bruins aren’t playing their best ball and the quarterback situation as been a bit sticky, to say the least, with Wilton Speight’s injury, Devon Modster’s transfer and throwing Dorian Thompson-Robinson into the fire early.

The Bruins travel to Colorado to face the unbeaten Buffaloes on Friday and it could be an early dose of Pac-12 After Dark for college football fans.

Can UCLA steal one on the road against Colorado on Friday night?

3. Bruins struggle to slow Travon McMillian

It’s going to be a tough day for the UCLA defense as it will allow it’s season average for yards surrendered, and then some, to Travon McMillian.

The senior running back has had an interesting career for the Buffaloes. After recording 1,000 yards as a freshman in 2015, he has seen his numbers dwindle every year since. He had 671 rushing yards as a sophomore and just under 500 as a junior, averaging 4.6 and 4.2 yards per carry, respectively.

McMillian is going to get back on track this season and a big game against the Bruins will push his numbers in the right direction. He’ll rush for over 200 yards on Friday night, carrying the Colorado offense.

Moreover, he’s going to average over 7.0 yards per carry, keeping pace with his red-hot start to the 2018 season.
