Kelly Bryant has announced he will transfer away from Clemson football. Which potential destinations offer the most intriguing storylines?

Whether you were on Team Kelly or Team Trevor going into the season it seems as though the most talked about quarterback battle in college football finally has a definitive winner: Trevor Lawrence.

Other schools might make the most football sense, but college football is nothing without narrative. Here are five more potential options that would make for the most interesting storylines for Bryant down the road.

South Carolina

Okay, so this one is not too hard to explain. Kelly Bryant already said that he felt like he was never given a fair shake at the starting job and whether or not he feels this way down the road has yet to be determined.

Should he hold onto these negative feelings towards the coaching staff at Clemson when it’s time to make his decision, it would make sense for him to join their bitter in-state rival South Carolina. His resentment towards his former team would make him a perfect addition for the Gamecocks and the season-long back and forths between a bitter Kelly Bryant and his former teammates would make for great television.

At the end of the year, barring injury, we would have the delight of seeing the ultimate showdown between the grad transfer and his athleticism go up against the very man who replaced him in Trevor Lawrence, it would be the most heart-wrenching game for the Tiger fans who have stood by the Wren High School product through all four of his years at Clemson. It would also be the first time he was able to escape the comparisons of Deshaun Watson by joining the very team that Clemson players look forward to defeating the most.
