Stanford football and Notre Dame meet for a top-10 tilt in South Bend on Saturday. The Cardinal look to continue its winning streak against the Irish.

Perhaps a game that will be overshadowed by plenty of intriguing matchups this week, Stanford and Notre Dame will face each other in 2018. The Cardinal come into the game as the No. 7 ranked team in the land while the Irish trail close behind at the No. 8 spot. Both teams enter Saturday’s game with undefeated 4-0 records.

Notre Dame is fresh off a runaway win against Wake Forest last weekend while installing a new starting quarterback in the form of Ian Book. Stanford had to storm all the way back to stun Oregon in overtime to remain unbeaten.

The Cardinal currently sit atop the Pac-12 North standings as the only team without an overall loss in the division and as another team without a loss, the Irish are still in contention for the College Football Playoff.

The seemingly annual matchup has the makings of a showdown as a late-night game and here are five reasons Stanford will emerge victorious on Saturday.
