College GameDay has set up shop in State College, PA for an All-Big Ten throwdown between Ohio State and Penn State. Who did Lee Corso pick?

Last week College GameDay ventured west to see Stanford take down Oregon in a wild dose of #Pac12AfterDark action. That came on the heels of two trips to the Lone Star State to see Clemson escape Texas A&M by two points and Ohio State turn on the jets and race past TCU.

Ohio State marks the first team to be featured twice on the popular ESPN show this season. This is the Buckeyes’ 42 appearance on College GameDay. They’re 1-0 this year and 27-14 overall.

This will be Penn State’s sixth time hosting GameDay and the third time the visiting team will be Ohio State. No. 16 Penn State edged No. 6 Ohio State 17-10 in 2005, but the No. 1 Buckeyes got revenge in 2007, winning 37-17. Saturday will be the rubber game, with implications that stretch far beyond the mini-series.

The winner will take a commanding lead in the Big Ten East and gain a step up in the race for the conference title and a berth in the College Football Playoff. With that in mind, the College GameDay crew set the stage for a game of epic proportions. Kirk HerbstreitDesmond Howard and guest picker Keegan-Michael Key made their Week 5 picks, paving the way for Corso who revealed his selection with his trademark flair:

Alongside this game, another top 10 battle will take place in South Bend where Notre Dame is hosting Stanford. Also featured on Saturday are Top 25 games between Texas Tech and West Virginia, BYU vs Washington and Oregon vs Cal. All in all, it’s shaping up for a fantastic weekend for college football, one that isn’t likely to disappoint.
