1. The Aggie defense saved a complacent offense.

The Texas A&M offense started this game strong and fast, scoring within the first 15 seconds on a kick off return touchdown by freshman running back Jashaun Corbin. That was followed up by a touchdown by Trayveon Williams from the one-yard line and a 30-yard field goal for Seth Small.

However, after that, the offense became stagnant. There were two missed field goals and two interceptions for the Aggies. Their complacent nature made this one easy for the Razorbacks to hang around in. They did not keep their foot on the gas and put themselves on upset alert. Simply put, the Aggies couldn’t get out of their own way.

All that being said, the Aggie faithful and the rest of the team has the defense to thank for this one. The offense stopped playing at the level that they have prior to this one. The defense, however, did not do the same thing. They held the Razorbacks to 3-for-12 on third down, keeping them out of the end zone in the most important of moments.

Donovan Wilson finished this one off with an interception, just like Armani Watts did a year earlier in the same game. The line, led by Kingsley Keke and Daylon Mack, had a sack party that kept the Razorback offense on edge all game long.

Simply put, Kellen Mond and the offense better thank the defense for this one.
