13. player. 10. . DT. Clemson. Dexter Lawrence

Right down the line from Clelin Ferrell on the Clemson Tiger’s defensive line is Dexter Lawrence. Dabo Swinney and the Clemson defense has been fortunate to have equal forces on all sides of the line to create havoc for opposing quarterbacks. And undoubtedly, these two players have played an essential role in the Tigers making it to the College Football Playoff two years in a row.

Dexter Lawrence has less impressive numbers than Ferrell but that is likely because he plays in the middle of the line more frequently than on the outside. The junior comes in a 6-foot-4 and a massive 340 pounds. One could compare Lawrence in the middle as that of a boulder clogging up any hole an offensive line attempts to create.

On the Houston Texans, Lawrence would play the same role for JJ Watt as he has the past few years for Clelin Ferrell. Not that JJ Watt needs any extra help getting to the quarterback, Lawrence would simply compound the dominant defensive line the Texans already have. With Watt on one side, Jadeveon Clowney on the other, and Dexter Lawrence in the middle, the Texans’ defense would unstoppable…barring any injuries.
