25. player. 54. . S. Alabama. Deionte Thompson

The reigning Super Bowl Champions are not necessarily bad in any one area. While the Eagles offense looks exceptional, it is clear they could continue to build depth on the defensive side of the ball.

The solution to this would be to draft safety, Deionte Thompson, from the University of Alabama. Nick Saban’s program should really be renamed “Alabama’s NFL Prep School”, due to the way he prepares his players for the next level. The principles required of a championship winning player at the college level applies to professional football as well.

Thompson has learned the Saban defense for the past four years, and has developed into one of the nation’s top safeties. He played in nine games last year and has played in all five game this year. He already has two interceptions, making his presence well-known to opposing quarterbacks. After spending four years at Alabama, Thompson will have no issues transitioning to the NFL.
