Drew Lock. 5. player. 31. . QB. Missouri

Where many people have Justin Herbert as the top quarterback in this year’s draft, the New York Giants will likely take Drew Lock instead. Drew Lock, out of Missouri, has demonstrated the ability to produce big numbers despite playing against tough opponents with less talent surrounding him. Herbert, on the other hand, has had better talent on his team against lower quality opponents.

In 2017, Lock led the nation in touchdowns last season with 44. Additionally, he was a mere 34 yards from hitting the 4,000-yard mark. One can only imagine the amount of dropped passes, or missed assignments on Missouri’s offensive line, that prevented the milestone. Furthermore, Missouri average over 50 points per game in their last six games of the regular season in 2017 thanks to Drew Lock’s leadership of the offense.

The Giants are eventually going to need a replacement for Eli Manning and Drew Lock will fit in best with their traditional style of offense. After a year or two learning from Manning, Lock will be ready to run an offense with Saquan Barkley and Odell Beckham Jr. at his disposal.
