Defensive Line: B+

The defensive line accounted for four tackles for loss, and they played a major role in slowing down Ohio State in the first half.

They did get some pressure on Dwayne Haskins, but he was only sacked once the entire game. Ohio State was limited to 119 rushing yards though, which was pretty impressive with their star running back duo of Mike Weber and J.K. Dobbins.

Linebackers: B

Penn State’s linebackers played a major role in slowing down the Buckeyes’ rushing attacking as well. Koa Farmer, Cam Brown, and Jan Johnson led the team in tackles with eight, six, and five respectively. Otherwise, Micah Parsons, a freshman and top-ten recruit, got some significant playing time and got 0.5 sack.

The struggle for both the linebackers and secondary was missed tackles. They allowed a few too many big plays due to missed tackles in the open field.
