ACC Football had a lot of good action in Week 5. There were a few upsets and a potential injury that could change the landscape of the conference for the rest of the season.

ACC Football displayed great football in many of its conference matchups in Week 5, and a near upset by Syracuse for the second year in a row almost disrupted the top of the pecking order.

How long will Trevor Lawrence‘s injury affect the next few weeks of ACC play? Was Duke’s early season success just a flash in the pan? Is Virginia Tech a contender again in the conference?

These are all questions fans will look to have answered in the next couple of weeks. Until then let’s take a look at our newest set of ACC Football Power Rankings!

The Yellow Jackets played one of the few out of conference games of the week. They made easy work of Bowling Green and won 63-17. Georgia Tech’s triple-option offense was running on all cylinders, scoring seven consecutive rushing touchdowns to start the game. Next week they face a struggling Louisville team.

How can Wake Forest be ranked so low with a winning record? They haven’t beaten anyone of merit. After struggling in Week 1 against Tulane, the Demon Deacons have beaten Towson and Rice, with a pair of losses to Boston College and Notre Dame. I’m not sold on them yet but their Week 6 matchup will show how talented they can be as they face Clemson at home.

The Panthers went into Week 5 looking to get over .500, but were thumped by UCF 45-14. McKenzie Milton had six total touchdowns and looks to be climbing back into the Heisman race. Pittsburgh faces Syracuse next week in a battle of former Big East teams, but don’t expect them to keep up with a talented Syracuse offense.
