Baylor football looks improved from 2017, already with three wins under their belt in 2018. Will they continue to improve in October?

Year two under Matt Rhule has had some ups and downs but has been immensely more successful that year one already. Baylor started off with early wins and had some hiccups along the way before a week five loss to Oklahoma.

Baylor is looking to make a bowl this season and with a 3-2 record they are half way there. Baylor has won the games they are supposed to win and have losses to Duke and Oklahoma. Duke was a toss-up game and Baylor came out flat and Oklahoma was always going to be a loss.

Baylor has three games in October and a bye week. The Bears have two games before their week 8 bye. Baylor will get Kansas State at home in Week 6 before making the trip to Austin to face Texas in Week 7. After their bye Baylor must travel to Morgantown to face West Virginia on a Thursday night game. If everything works out the way Baylor wants they could be a couple of steps closer to returning to a bowl game.

Baylor has two months left in the season and needs three more wins to get to bowl eligibility. For now, let’s take a look at what is in store in the month of October.
