2. Charlie Brewer will solidify QB1

Baylor has seemed to be playing musical QB in the time that Rhule has been in Waco. Anu Solomon, Zach Smith, and Charlie Brewer all had started in 2017. Going into 2018 most people assumed that Brewer was the starter but due to the departure of Zach Smith Baylor had a need at QB depth. In comes grad transfer Jalan McClendon from NC State.

Brewer and McClendon have shared time through the first three games with Brewer taking the most snaps and in the last two games against Kansas and Oklahoma Brewer had played every series but a few. While McClendon has a stronger arm that Brewer and is a bigger kid Charlie has the “it” factor and is the more mobile of the two signal callers.

Brewer is just coming off a game where he threw for 400 yards and two touchdowns in a losing effort. He has displayed his toughness and competitiveness in every game he has been in. Brewer will further secure the top spot with his play and notching a few more wins along the way.
