After a disappointing loss to end the first month of the 2018 season, Penn State Football heads into October looking for blood and ready to win.

The Penn State Nittany Lions first month of the 2018 season started the way they wanted, but certainly didn’t finish like they had hoped; kinda similar to the way their game against the Ohio State Buckeyes went. Unless you’ve been isolated from society, you’re well aware of the play call decision that left not only State College, but the entire nation, dumbfounded. The Nittany Lions had their moments to take down the Buckeyes and stake claim as the best team in the Big Ten, but were unable to capitalize on those given opportunities.

The positive out of all this, is they only lost by one point which can go a long way later in the season when the playoff rankings start to come out. The Nittany Lions head into October with only one goal: win. Doesn’t matter how, just win.

Penn State can’t afford another loss or their slim chances at a Big Ten title will be gone, as well as any chance of making the College Football Playoff. Sounds kind of cliche and it’s pretty obvious of what they have to do but it’s not always that easy.With a bye week to start off the month, the Nittany Lions will have to wait to let their frustration out from their heart breaking loss.

But once the bye week is over, Penn State should have a great month of football. With the season on the line in every game, here are five bold predictions for the month of October:
