McSorley Breaks 100

Since taking over as Penn State’s quarterback in the 2016 Tax Slayer Bowl, Trace McSorley has had an inseparable relationship with the end zone. Currently riding a streak of 33 consecutive games with a touchdown pass (every game of his career), McSorley looks to make his name known in not only Penn State’s record books but also the conference’s.

With 69 passing touchdowns, and 24 rushing touchdowns, Trace McSorley is third on the Big Ten’s all-time touchdown list, sitting just seven scores shy of the century mark. And during the month of October, McSorley will surpass that milestone.

By the season’s end McSorley will most likely pass Drew Brees for second all-time on the conference’s touchdown list, but for now it’s about getting to 100. McSorley will need to average just over two touchdowns a game to hit this mark but may reach 100 touchdowns sooner than expected.

A big game against Michigan State followed by another monster game against Indiana, could have McSorley ahead of schedule, scoring his 100th touchdown before their game against Iowa. Trace McSorley is one of the best quarterbacks that Penn State has ever had, and is ready to have the Big Ten conference say the same.
